Alright Ladies, we all have that
special woman we know who inspired us to be the wife we are today.
She may still be inspiring you now!! I want to celebrate the God
given role of “wife” and the release of “Chicken Soup for
the Soul Devotional Stories for Wives”
I am a contributing
writer in the book, and am excited to share it with you!

My inspiration has always been Elaine Avila. Elaine is one of those people that you just never see without a smile on her face. No matter how bad the day or how stressed she is, she remains patient, loving, and kind to her husband and her kids.
Mine was my grandmother. Even though she is no longer alive her advice and example as a wife will not be forgotten. My favorite thing my grandparents did was always kiss each other before bed no matter what.
My granny cared for my grandpa for years after he lost his mind. Many people encouraged her to send him to a home but she would always say "that is not the vow I made to God or Hal when we married." I have been encouraged to ask my husband to leave because people believe he is the reason for my illness. But I kept hearing my granny's voice and hubby is still here, and will be until the Lord takes one of us home.
